Management Apprenticeship

Successful businesses require great management. As this does not come naturally to most of us, learning management skills is very important. This Apprenticeship is for those who are working in, or would like to work in a management role. It is also suitable for those who are new to management. The Apprenticeship provides learners with the knowledge and skills they need to operate as a successful manager.

Level 5 ILM Operations and Departmental Manager

  • To be set the employer.
  • Completion of the Apprenticeship will award a ILM Level 5 Diploma for Leaders and Managers. Functional Skills level 2 in maths and English will also need to be attained if you have not previously achieved an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum recommended duration of programme is 24 months.
  • This is an industry designed and recognised apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is ideal for operations/departmental managers who may manage teams and/or pro-jects, and have responsibility for planning, delivering and achieving departmental goals and objectives. They are accountable to a more senior manager, head of department or small business owner, and are responsible for the operational and/or policy delivery of the organisation’s strategy.
    On completion, apprentices can register as full members with the Chartered Management Institute and/or the Institute of Leadership & Management, and those with 3 years of management experience can apply for Chartered Manager status through the CMI. Successful apprentices can progress on to ILM Level 6 Award in Management or Level 6 Chartered Management Apprenticeship degree.

Team Leadership Apprenticeship

Team leading is an essential skill in any kind of work environment. Good team leaders ensure that their teams work effectively and efficiently, improving the productivity of a team. The aim of the Apprenticeship is to provide learners with all the skills and knowledge they will need to run a successful team.

Level 3 ILM Team Leader/Supervisor

  • To be set by the employer.
  • Successful completion of the Apprenticeship will award an ILM Level 3 Diploma in Management. If you do not have a maths and English GCSE grade C or above you will be required to complete Functional Skills maths and English at level 2 during the Apprenticeship.
  • The Apprenticeship can last from a minimum of 12 to 18 months.
  • Leadership within a business ensures the effective and efficient working practices. Leading and managing a team is often overlooked, but it is vital for productivity and profit. The level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship is ideal for developing current team leaders or for individuals looking to develop into this role. It can ensure a business or organisation can develop the skills they need from within.
    Successful completion can lead to promotion and continued professional development. You can register as an Associate member of the Chartered Management Institute.
